About

To break the string of stressful days of cancer treatment, give families a day together as a family, and create an experience and memory they will cherish together forever.

For kids with cancer and their families, Isaiah’s Ark is a boat dedicated to providing families coping with a child’s cancer a full day of fun and relaxation, away from the daily stress of treatments and worry.

Isaiah’s Ark is run in association with Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD).

What Do We Do?

An experienced, licensed Isaiah’s Ark captain will chauffeur you and your family for a day on magnificent Lake Winnipesaukee to do whatever you desire…a tour of the lake, fishing, swimming, anchoring at sandbars, hiking on one of hundreds of islands, playing on the beach, exploring the hundreds of coves of the lake, stops at some of the towns on the lake, or at the Weirs Beach boardwalk… stopping for lunch and dinner at a lakeside restaurant. Overnight accommodations at a local hotel can be provided.

The boat is a 29-foot Rinker Captiva. This sportboat is the perfect Winnipesaukee day boat; able to navigate all areas of the lake, plenty of room for a family to spread out, the open bow-rider is always a hit with kids, the spacious swim platform is perfect for swimming, fishing, or just relaxing, and the boat’s canopy cover provides shade from the sun.

The boat was purchased by Barry Uicker and his wife Chrysoula. Barry is the sales manager at Silver Sands Marina in Gilford, and Chrys is a sales executive with McKesson Health Solutions. They bought the boat with help from Silver Sands Marina and The Rinker Boat Company.

The boat is dedicated solely for use as Isaiah’s Ark. So when you see the stars of Isaiah’s Ark on the lake, you know that it is carrying a family that is coping with unimaginable stress, and is enjoying a day together as a family.

How Do We Do It?

Isaiah’s Ark is a completely non-profit program, and depends on the generosity of our sponsors. All contributions, in their entirety, go to the boat, gas, supplies and other items to make the day a truly memorable experience for the families.
